Biker has locked-up Honda pinched overnight by thieves

A villager has spoken out about his motorbike being snatched from outside his home, which was almost deemed a write-off after it was recovered by police.
Bruce Lee condemned the 'scum bags' who stole his 20-year-old Honda VFR 800 from his driveway in Long Ashton - which he was in the process of repairing after it was returned to him a few weeks ago.
He said: "The people responsible broke off the steering lock and smashed into the petrol cap and helmet lock at the back of the motorbike when they took it.
"I had it parked outside my home on May 23, but when I got up at 5am the next morning to head to work and saw bike equipment scattered across the floor, I knew it had been nicked.
"It's very annoying, and now I can't afford to leave it outside of my house, otherwise the scum bags will just pinch it again.
"I reported the theft to the police, and shortly afterwards they said they found the Honda in a garage in Hartcliffe, Bristol.
"Four different bikes were stolen, including a Triumph Trophy, and it was the second time one bike had been taken."
Bruce had to wait until the following Tuesday to get his motorbike back from Avon and Somerset Constabulary's vehicle compound, due to the bank holiday weekend hours, which cost him £150.
He continued: "My Honda is 20 years old, and to buy one like mine would easily cost £2,000, after I looked on eBay for a new one.
"There was no point claiming it as a write-off on my insurance, because the premiums would have gone up by 25 per cent - so I decided to repair it myself.
"The officer I spoke to was very helpful and apologetic, but she said the police couldn't press charges because they haven't got enough evidence.
"This is not how things should be, it's easily cost a couple of hundred quid to fix the damage as it wasn't worth the cost to replace the bike."
Police enquires are ongoing, but no arrests have been made.
