PORTISHEAD mums will be given expert advice from 12 newly-trained peer supporters at Cafe Mamma.

The group for breast-feeding mums meets at the children’s centre in West Hill each Tuesday from 10-11.30am.

The new peer supporters had to undertake several assessments throughout their training and can now join the existing volunteers to give help.

Cafe Mamma is a popular meeting place for breast-feeding mums, where support, encouragement and information is given. There are also breastfeeding and weaning-related books to borrow and plenty of toys, books and activities to keep young children entertained.
