A NEW mobile police station has made its debut in Portishead.
PCSO Dawn Tremlett used the new community contact vehicle for a property marking day at Gordano School.
Students were invited to visit the mobile police station during breaks and lunchtime to get valuable items like phones and iPods marked with their postcodes, making them identifiable should they get lost or stolen.
The mobile police station will be back in the Portishead community for National Personal Safety Day on October 10 when members of the police team will be talking to residents about safety and handing out literature.
The unit will be parked at the piazza near to the new library in Harbour Road for the morning and in the Co-operative car park in Wyndham Way in the afternoon.
