A ‘tremendous’ and life-changing charity will be backed at a school’s summer gala night next month.

Clevedon School students have organised a fundraising evening for Mend The Gap, a charity which focuses on bringing people from different backgrounds together.

Enterprising Clevedon School students will welcome peers, parents and members of the public to sit down and enjoy a three-course dinner at the school on July 13.

The event, which starts at 6.30pm, will support year 12 students who will be spending three weeks in Kenya with the charity working in Clevedon’s link school and village.

Sixth form student Abbie Lifton, aged 17, said: “Mend The Gap is a tremendous charity which helps thousands of people.”
