FERRARI fan Marco Costanza has taken a step nearer to following in his hero’s footsteps.
The eight-year-old Portishead schoolboy, who loves Formula One racing and is aspiring to one day be like Michael Schumacher, is already proving a talent for the sport.
Marco took up karting as a hobby in the summer of 2011 and picked up a gold medal in his first ever race. Since then he has collected a gold or silver medal in every single competition he has entered.
His mum Charlotte said: “We are thrilled that Marco is showing promise at such an early, especially as it will be years before he’s old enough to drive a car on the road.”
Marco has just completed his time in the Bambinos group at Llandow Kart Club and to help him as he makes the move up in to the cadet section, his parents have bought him his very own kart. The St Joseph’s Primary School pupil will now be eligible to compete in contests around the country.
