A SUSPECTED drink driver was found hiding in a field after a crash in Wraxall that saw a car end up on its roof.
The accident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning in Bristol Road, near to The New Battle Axes pub. The man had fled the scene before police were called at about 12.40am but was found by officers in a nearby field with the help of the force helicopter.
All three people from the car were arrested on suspicion of drink driving before being taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
One man in his 50s had suffered a suspected broken arm and a neck injury. A man in his 40s was suffering from neck and back pain.
The road was closed while police recovered the car.
