Man dies of natural causes

A YATTON man died from bronchial pneumonia at Yatton Hall Nursing Home, an inquest heard.

Peter Deans, aged 80, died peacefully in his sleep on December 6 at the nursing home in High Street.

At an inquest into his death at Flax Bourton Coroner’s Court on Thursday, the court heard how Mr Deans’ suffered from peripheral vascular disease and leg ulcers and had been deteriorating for some time.

A post mortem found Mr Deans was suffering from chronic liver cirrhosis and liver cancer, which led to bronchial pneumonia which caused his death.

Assistant deputy coroner Terrence Moore recorded a death of natural causes.
