Man dies in Clevedon pub

A PENSIONER has died after collapsing at a Clevedon pub on Sunday night.

The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, collapsed after suffering a heart attack at the Wagon and Horses pub in Old Street at 4.50pm.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the man and an air ambulance was called ready to transport him to hospital.

Police were called to keep the crowds of people back from the scene so the air ambulance could land.

Despite desperate attempts to resuscitate the man, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
