A MAN in his 70s has died following a house fire in Pill.

He suffered burns to his chest and legs during the blaze yesterday (Tuesday) but died overnight.

Four fire crews attended the incident at around 12.30pm in a bungalow in Newsome Avenue.

The blaze is thought to have started on the ground floor before spreading to the roof so fire crews used a turntable ladder to gain access to the roof in order to extinguish the flames.
