Man dies after violent incident in Nailsea pub

A 50-year-old man from Nailsea died in the early hours of this morning (Thurs) after a violent incident at the Queen’s Head pub in Nailsea High Street.

The victim - who the Times understands is Alec Farley - was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary shortly after midnight with serious head injuries following an incident at the Queen’s Head pub. He later died of his injuries.

Detective inspector Mark Rolfe is appealing for witnesses to come forward. He said: “We know the pub was very busy last night and lots of people would have seen what happened.

“We have spoken to a number of people who were in the pub at the time but we need more people to come forward to tell us what they saw.”

A 45-year-old man from Nailsea has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
