Man charged with spate of burglaries

A 42-year-old Portishead man has been charged with a string of recent burglaries.

He has been charged along with a 40-year-old man from Bristol after they were both arrested yesterday (Thursday) following a number of incidents that took place in Clevedon, Portishead and Bristol between August 26 and September 7.

A variety of items were taken in the burglaries including two cars, televisions, mobile phones and a laptop.

The two men were due at North Somerset Magistrates Court today (Friday).
