Avon and Somerset police have charged a 48-year-old following an incident in Portishead on Thursday.
A 48-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm following a stabbing in Portishead.
Mark Gilbert, of West Hill, will appear in court on Monday after being charged with GBH with intent and possession of a Class A drug (cocaine).
A police spokesman said: “A 48-year-old man has been charged following an incident in Portishead in which another man was stabbed.
“The charge relates to injuries caused to a man aged in his 50s in Pinecroft on Thursday.
“The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.”
Avon and Somerset Police arrested the 48-year-old in London on Saturday evening and the spokesman thanked the public for their support during the investigation.
He will appear in North Somerset Magistrates Court on Monday.
