Man charged after fatal crash

A man has been charged following the death of a Clevedon woman in a road collision on Monday.

Melanie Miles, aged 42, died at the scene after the motorcycle she was driving collided with a Citroen Berlingo van on the A4 in Bristol at 5.15am.

The driver of the Citroen, which also collided with another van, was a 29-year-old man from the Bristol area who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while over the legal alcohol limit. He remains in custody.
