Traffic is slowing down on the M5 this evening (Monday) after emergency pothole repairs took place between junction 19 for Portishead and 20 for Clevedon.

Traffic was held on the M5 northbound while the repairs took place but has now been released.

However, the stoppage has had a knock-on effect and the average speed is around 25 miles per hour on the motorway.
