Families took part in A Spoonful Of Craft morning at Long Ashton Community Centre on Saturday.

Children made snowglobes and items designed for the nanny's handbag.

The centre also screened the 2018 film Mary Poppins Returns at its cinema in the evening.

A spokesman for the event said: "The day went really well and around 30 children attended the craft session.

"There were also about 45 children and their parents who watched the film, so more than 80 people attended the screening.

"I think it's the first time the cinema has shown a film in August, which proved really popular and we had a lot of positive feedback."

The workshop and screening was supported by UWE Community Fund and the Quartet Community Foundation.
