BROWNIES in Clevedon bid farewell to one of their leaders who retired after 36 years of working with the guiding movement.
Sue Rossiter retired from being brown owl for the 8th Clevedon West Brownies when she recently turned 65.
The St Johns Avenue resident was given a lively send off when she was presented with owl-themed gifts and an owl cake.
Sue’s work with the guiding movement has seen her involved with guides, rangers and brownies in Lancashire, Hertfordshire and North Somerset.
In recognition of her dedication, she was presented with a vase by Clevedon West District president Georgina Dobbs and commissioner Alison Leatt.
