Little Theatre open evening
PUBLISHED: 09:00 08 September 2012
NAILSEA Little Theatre is marking 50 years of amateur dramatics in the town by hosting an open evening at 8pm on September 14.
Visitors will be able to see behind the scenes and chat with members at the group’s own Little Theatre, in Union Street, during the Golden Jubilee event.
Three productions a year have been held at a number of venues in the town since it’s inception in 1963, including at Scotch Horn Leisure Centre, where the annual pantomime was staged, before taking over its own theatre in 1998.
Plays have ranged from serious to light comedy and the last Friday of every month is devoted to play readings which are open to the public.
Cast and crew are busy rehearsing and set-designing for its next production, Alan Ayckbourn’s Table Manners, which will be staged from October 22-27.
