AN evening of humour, nostalgia and music, organised by The Lions Club of Nailsea, has raised more than 1,300.
Three Men’s Company was performed by the Bristol Revue Group, with supporting acts of singing, jazz and soul music by Nailsea School sixth form students and a finale by magician Mark Townsend.
Tickenham Village Hall was packed to capacity, thanks to the organisational skills of Lions Karen Zold, Wendy Hasler and Pam Hunt.
Most of the money will be donated to BRACE, the Bristol-based organisation funding research into dementia.
