A CLEVEDON group has raised money toward special boxes used for the transport of breast milk.
Clevedon Lions has so far funded four cooling containers, which are used by the Freewheelers Voluntary Delivery Service to transport frozen milk from donors’ homes to a new breast milk bank in Southmead, Bristol.
The boxes are also used to deliver milk from the bank to neonatal intensive care units across the South West.
In total, Lions Clubs across the South West have provided enough support to buy 26 boxes and the Clevedon group plans to add to this total.
