A charitable group from Nailsea has donated £1,000 to a brass band to enable them to buy more instruments.
The Lions Club of Nailsea and its twin club in France, The Lions Club of Mortagne au Perche in Normandy, donated the money to Lions Brass 4 Youth during a recent visit by the French club.
Lions Brass 4 Youth gives people aged 21 and under the chance to improve their skills on brass instruments and perform in a full band.
There are currently six bands for musicians of varying ages and abilities, comprising more than 100 members.
