PORTISHEAD pensioner Lily Dymock celebrated her 100th birthday in style, with a week of partying.
Family and friends organised party after party for the sprightly centenarian who says she was delighted to receive a card from the Queen when she reached the milestone on April 29.
The great-grandmother, who is proud to be still living independently, taking care of her own shopping and household chores, said: “I’m still enjoying life and love popping down the road for a game of bingo.”
Lily says she thinks life is much tougher now than when she was younger and added: “There seems so much pressure on people these days, no-one takes time to relax anymore.”
She puts her longevity down to positive mental attitude and vinegar, which she says she likes a lot of.
