Lidl closing for refurb

A CLEVEDON supermarket is set to close for nine weeks this month as it undergoes a major refurbishment.

Lidl, in Great Western Road, will close from Monday and is
not scheduled to reopen until
May 21 to allow the work to take place.

A statement from Lidl said: “The Clevedon store is due to shut on March 30 and will hopefully reopen on May 21.

“The store will be extended and extensively refurbished throughout to offer customers an improved and more efficient shopping experience.

“We thank the local residents for their support and patience during these works and hope to see them at the nearby Portishead or Worle stores in the interim.”

Lidl has recently donated £500 to Clevedon Town Council to put towards the town’s Christmas lights display.
