Lesson in park maintenance
PUBLISHED: 11:00 16 October 2015
Children were invited to Backwell Playing Fields to meet the volunteers who look after the recreation ground.
Year four pupils from Backwell Junior School met members of Backwell Playing Fields Charity to learn about their work in maintaining the fields and how they can help.
The children met volunteers who help with grass cutting and litter picking and the visit coincided with their topic on their roles in the community.
Backwell Playing Fields Charity is also raising awareness that the park belongs to the village.
