Launch of The Centre
EXCITED families flocked to the launch of Nailsea Baptist Church’s new community centre on Saturday.
More than 150 people popped into The Centre in Silver Street to have a tour of the new multi functional building and chat to the church leaders.
The church has transformed the building into a community cafe and staff are also running a number of services from the The Centre including lunches for pensioners, messy church services and a film club.
The church celebrated its launch with an 81-hour read through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, followed by an open day.
Jonathan Edwards, general secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain opened the building and The Centre was also visited by Rev Mkandawire from a church Nailsea baptists support in Malawi.
