DEBRIS has been cleared from a Clevedon river using a new boat and trailer funded by groups from the town.
The Land Yeo Friends volunteers regularly clean out the Land Yeo river that runs through Clevedon and, until now, have struggled with reaching and transporting the rubbish thrown into the water.
However, thanks to funding from benefactors including Clevedon Lions and Clevedon Town Council, the group now has a new boat and trailer to help with its work.
During the latest clean up the volunteers recovered a trailer-full of litter and debris, including a fence panel, skateboard, three supermarket trolleys, a scooter, fishing net and traffic cones.
