Ladies night raises hundreds

BURLESQUE dancing was one of the highlights of a ladies night at a Portishead school, which raised around 700.

In addition to the dancing, which was taught by T & A Burlesque, the evening provided an ideal Christmas shopping opportunity. Beauty treatments were also available, along with vintage clothes and work by local artists.

Organiser Sian Howe said: “It was a great evening and everyone was encouraged to have a go at the dancing which gave it a new twist. The proceeds will support the school in the purchase of new play and learning equipment.”
