Portishead mum to feature in book

A Portishead mum has told of her journey through multiple sclerosis, motherhood and business in a top-selling book.

Katie Silverthorne features in a chapter of Mumpreneur On Fire 4, which is due to be released later this month.

The third book in the series peaked at number three on the Amazon best-seller charts – and the new book promises to includes 25 motivational stories on mums who have succeeded in business after battling through depression, childloss, bereavement and suicide.

The book is published by the Mums In Business Association, with hope of inspiring more women to become entrepreneurs.

Katie runs the business Memory Zoo, which makes cuddly toys for children from their old baby clothes.

She told the Times: “The book features inspiring stories aimed at encouraging women – no matter what situation they are in – to never give up.”
