Organisers of a tennis club’s jumble sale say its most recent event was the most successful ever.

It was hosted by Cleeve Tennis Club and took place at the village hall on January 28.

A raffle and tasty refreshments also proved popular with those wanting a break from bargain hunting.

Organiser Lyn Hawkins said: “Our best-ever jumble sale meant friendly jostling for those extra-special bargains.

“New clothes, books, household items and toys all sold quickly, giving buyers time to sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy the raffle.”

Proceeds from the sale will go towards replacing the club’s courts on the King George V Playing Field.
