A CLEVEDON boy has raised 700 for his school after winning a Tesco competition.
Jonny Bussey, aged 10, won the money for Mary Elton Primary School when his design for an environmental poster was chosen to feature on bags for life at the town’s supermarket, which were bought in return for a donation to school funds.
He and other school pupils from Clevedon were asked to create a poster highlighting the importance of being environmentally friendly and Jonny’s was chosen as the winner.
Tesco customers raised 350 by buying the bags for life featuring Jonny’s design and this was matched by the store. The money will now be used to improving outdoor areas at the Holland Road school.
