A CLEVEDON man who has been chairman of the town’s Royal British Legion branch for 22 years was honoured at a special lunch.
The event on January 12 was held to recognise the work John Hulse has carried out for the branch since he joined in 1985 and became chairman in 1989.
John, of Bennetts Way, retired as branch chairman in November after many years of working to make it one of the leading branches in Somerset with a busy annual programme of events.
During the lunch, John and his wife Mary were presented with a framed Certificate of Appreciation from the Somerset county branch and an engraved Collar of Office from Clevedon members, which was handed over by new chairman Rob Campbell.
