A RETIRED teacher from Backwell has been named the president of the Inner Wheel Club of Nailsea.
At the group’s last meeting, former president Margaret Crawford handed the chain over to her replacement Jo Perry.
During Margaret’s year as president more than �1,500 was raised for charity and the group presented cheques to Bosom Buddies and Avon Riding for the Disabled.
Jo’s charities of the year are Penny Brohn Cancer Care and St Peter’s Hospice.
