A walk to raise awareness of ovarian cancer has raised thousands of pounds.

Walk In Her Name saw people head along Poet’s Walk in Clevedon to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action.

The event was organised by Jess Brown, aged 26, who was diagnosed with it last year.

The mum-of-one invited people to walk with her to shine a light on the disease which she knew little about before her diagnosis.

She said: “It was a fantastic turnout and I have been completely overwhelmed with all the support and generosity of both family, friends and passers-by on the day.

“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who is supporting me throughout this journey and has helped me to raise awareness and money for the charity.”

More than £3,000 was raised.
