The Wraxall attraction has been presented with an innovation award for its commitment to environmentally-friendly practises.

The park has invested in renewable energy and waste management systems and the elephant eden helped the zoo farm achieve the title, as it is run by solar power, biomass heating and recycled water.

Owner Anthony Bush said: “As a team we’ve been working hard to develop Noah’s Ark in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner, considering energy, local wildlife and communities in our area.

“We value our membership to the excellent NFAN and are thrilled to achieve their Innovation Award.”
