An end of year treat was held for Tickenham pupils as an ice cream van visited the village’s primary school.
The visit was organised by the Tickenham School Association (TSA) in recognition of the achievements by everyone at the school over the past academic year.
Staff and pupils got to cool off after a long year by enjoying a selection of their choice with vanilla ice cream in a cone proving particularly popular.
A school spokesman said: “There have been so many highlights with every pupil committed to ensuring Tickenham remains an incredibly successful school and environment.
“The TSA has also been busy during the year with a string of successful fundraising events enabling the school to benefit from many educational trips and receiving additional resources such as an outdoor-class environment, school garden improvements and the development of a nearby forest-school setting.”
