A vacant Portishead office block will become more than 20 homes.

Juniper Homes has secured permission from North Somerset Council to convert Dynamic House, at Gordano Gate in Serbert Way, into up to 22 apartments.

The developer had applied for change of use permission to create homes at the two-storey complex after occupying business DPS Process Solutions went into administration and closed last year.

Juniper Homes planning statement said: “The site is sustainably located within walking distance of Portishead town centre and a range of amenities and transport links.”

The council’s planning officers deemed the proposals were in line with policy.

The authority’s report said: “The proposal will not give rise to any adverse parking, transport or highway safety impacts.

“In response to the objections raised, the proposal falls within the prior approval procedure.”
