The hospice, on the outskirts of Bristol, is spending £6.5million on demolishing its inpatients unit and building a ‘21st century’ replacement.
Approximately a quarter of the funds will be coming from sponsors and donors and the hospice launched its Room To Care Appeal last October to help boost those efforts.
And the Rotarians have decided to back the appeal and handed the hospice a cheque for £750.
Esther Hall, pictured left, said: “We are on a long road to reach our goal of £6.5million and we thank Portishead Rotary so much for their kind donation.”
Club president John Sleight said the group was keen to help out with the appeal.
He added: “We couldn’t be more pleased to support such a wonderful cause.”
