A restored gatehouse will reopen today (Wednesday) after a £750,000 refurbishment project was completed.
Ashton Gatehouse, which lies near Long Ashton, had fallen into disrepair.
Scaffolding was up around the building for months, but thanks to donations from Historic England, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Architectural Heritage Fund among others, the work has now finished.
Gatehouse manager Ben Meller said: “Historically, the building welcomed visitors to Ashton Court, a gateway between the coal mines and housing of Bedminster and the grandeur of Ashton Court.
“Its role now will be a gateway between Ashton local schools, Ashton Court and local communities.
