MORE cash has become available to help vulnerable people in North Somerset this winter.
North Somerset Council has landed �52,000 from the Department of Health which will be used to provide training and advice to elderly people, health workers, carers and families with young children.
The funds, gained from the Warm Homes Healthy People Fund, will also allow the authority to increase links with partners such as NHS North Somerset and hold community Safe And Warm advice events. The first is being held at Emmanuel Church in Oxford street, Weston, at 11am on December 10.
