A PROUD grandmother from Portbury is celebrating the crowning of her daughter as the UK’s Most Inspirational Mother.
Jan Reynolds, from Sheepway, nominated her daughter Hayley Cox for the award because of her strength and inspiration following the death of her husband.
Adrian Cox, who grew up in Clevedon, died aged 52, five weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Jan said: “Hayley was determined to keep everything as normal as possible for her two children, Natalie and Christian, after Adrian’s death. Despite having no experience, she took on his business safeguarding the livelihood of 40 employees and she ensured life was kept on an even keel for everyone involved. I am so proud.”
Hayley was presented with the award by Coronation Street star Michelle Collins at a glitzy event in London’s West End.
