Villagers from Chelvey had even more to give thanks for this year at their harvest home.
More than 90 people filled St Bridget’s Church to tuck into a harvest feast, enjoy some jazz and celebrate the end of the church’s renovation project.
Over the past nine years generous churchgoers and villagers have raised £155,000 which has enabled the tower and windows to be restored, the church has a new organ, heating and sound systems and 15 solar panels.
A new kitchen, toilet facilities and a path around the churchyard were also added to make it more accessible to the community.
