IMPROVEMENTS to a public hall in Portishead have been welcomed by its users.
Portishead Town Council has spent around 7,000 upgrading facilities at Redcliffe Bay Hall in Newhaven Road, which include a new disabled toilet, the installation of baby changing facilities, a new boiler and some replacement windows.
Councillor Marilyn Koops said: “We are delighted the hall now has a fully disabled compliant facility and also that parents will no longer need to change their babies on the floor. Hall users say they are delighted with the improvements and we hope the new facilities will encourage more user groups.”
Redcliffe Bay Hall is home to a variety of clubs and organisations and is also available for public hire. For details or to make a booking call 07973 717986.
