GIRL Guide Heather Bragg took a group of youngsters camping for her final challenge to gain her Baden-Powell Award.
The 14-year-old from Redcliffe Bay Guides in Portishead spent two nights at a scout camp in Failand, with seven younger guides. This now means she can be given the highest award a guide can receive.
Leaders Jan Harrison and Liz Howells accompanied the party. Liz said: “Heather had put so much thought and care into her preparations that all Jan and I needed to do was stand back and watch the fun, as the girls played mini-Olympics, cooked all their own food and had a fantastic start to the school summer holidays.”
The girls had a camp-fire celebration on their final evening after collecting and chopping firewood in the afternoon.
