The Nailsea branch of Greggs has closed for three months to complete a major expansion that will see it double in size and look to improve the ‘food-on-the-go experience’.

A sign has been posted on the shutters of Greggs in Crown Glass Shopping Centre, in Nailsea, announcing that the store has been closed for refurbishment for 3-4 months.

Management at Greggs has confirmed that the store –expected to be reopened this April – will undergo major expansion work that will see the branch double in size.

A spokesperson for Greggs said: “Our Nailsea shop is being refurbished to offer customers a contemporary food-on-the-go experience.

“The new-look shop will be twice the size and provide seating for customers who wish to enjoy their purchases inside the shop.”

The work is part of a redevelopment of Crown Glass Shopping Centre, whereby several retailers are expected to take on larger premises.
