A PUBLIC open space in Pill has been rewarded with a Green Flag for 2011.
Watchhouse Hill was given the award by the environmental charities Keep Britain Tidy, GreenSpace and BTCV.
The 10-hectare space is supported by the Friends of Watchhouse Hill group, whose members were delighted to receive the award in recognition of their work to maintain and improve the area.
The site runs alongside the River Avon and features a cycle track, multi-use games area, a teen shelter, two football pitches and a number of benches.
