A Congresbury riding school has been handed a £300 grant.

Urchinwood Manor was awarded the cash from the Mars Milk Play Fund, which awards two grants each week to help individuals, groups and clubs to play more.

The school will use the money to pay for new equipment.

Its coach Sally Hall said: “This donation from the fund couldn’t have come at a better time.

“The standard required of riding hats is due to change at the end of this year, so we will have to throw all of our hats away as they will no longer be legal.

“We can now purchase new hats for all our able-bodied and disabled riders to use.”
