A pair of charities have been handed hundreds of pounds thanks to a Portishead group.
Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club’s Christmas fundraisers collect £900 which was shared between two worthy causes.
Representatives from Bristol-based Jessie May Trust and The Ebenezer Clinic in Swaziland were presented with cheques worth £450.
The Jessie May Trust is a hospice which supports terminally-ill youngsters and their families, while The Ebenezer Clinic cares for people in an isolated part of Africa.
The money was raised from two hugely popular festive events – the trolley dash at Sainsbury’s and the inaugural Santa Dash at the Lake Grounds.
The club was formed in 2015, and has raised thousands of pounds for charities since.
