A charity which supports people with life-limiting illnesses is holding its first bubble rush event this year.

St Peter’s Hospice is holding the foamy fundraiser at the North Somerset Showground in Wraxall on September 16.

The charity held a launch event in front of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol and covered excited families with bubbles.

The bubble rush is family-friendly and participants can jog or walk the 5km course.

St Peter’s Hospice hopes to raise £50,000 from the event and organisers are appealing for families in North Somerset to sign up for the fun run.

Events fundraiser Louisa James said: “It was exciting to see the foam cannon in action and to launch our first bubble rush. The event is a great opportunity for children and families to get involved and have a great day out while supporting St Peter’s Hospice.”
