GARDENING expert, author and Daily Telegraph columnist Helen Yemm will be the celebrity guest speaker at Portishead Horticultural Society’s January meeting.
Helen describes herself as a ‘muddy wellies gardener’ who is blessed with the gift of the gab.
Her green fingers led her to teach at her local adult education college before becoming presenter of the BBC programmes Gardening From Scratch and Gardening Week.
Helen will present an illustrated talk on garden downsizing on January 25 in the hall at Gordano School, St Mary’s Road, Portishead. The meeting starts at 7.30pm. Tickets, on sale now, can be purchased by calling John Tovey on 01275 844118.
