A CLEVEDON garden party resulted in more than 1,500 being raised for good causes.

The Rotary Club of Clevedon Yeo held the annual event at Vine Cottage in Nortons Wood Lane with more than 100 guests donning their finery for afternoon tea and music.

A raffle raised 1,500, which will be shared between the community group Clevedon Pride and the children’s charity Springboard Opportunity Group in Clevedon.

Club president Chris Morris said: “With luck being on our side with the weather we enjoyed a great afternoon of socialising and entertainment, raising some much-needed funds for worthwhile local causes.”
