Representatives from the different branches of the military, navy and veteran units gathered at the bandstand in Clevedon to mark Armed Forces Day on Sunday.

The event started with a march from Salthouse Fields to the bandstand and war memorial.

The Salvation Army band played drums and standards were flown as crowds gathered to watch the spectacle.

The event had perfect conditions for the second year in a row, with blue skies and sunshine beaming down.

Major W M Slade from the Salvation Army conducted the service, replacing Captain Cole of the Salvation Army who was unwell.

A drum laying ceremony was then carried out by the Avonmouth Sea Cadet Unit.
